SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. At SSI you will be a member of the Engineering Department with cross functional responsibilities working with the Sales and Manufacturing teams to deliver highly integrated custom equipment.

The Project Manager provides project management and technical leadership for assigned customer system orders. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Works closely with the customer as well as internal departments such as sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping to resolve issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and Manage project schedules and budgets for assigned system orders from order write up review and kick off through successful field installation and commissioning.
  • Manage project information through internal SSI teams, sales, customer, engineering, design, manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs.
  • Participating in meetings related to engineered machine orders including “kick-offs” and status meetings.
  • Communicating status of JO releases for engineered machine orders to the rest of the organization using the weekly “Project Engineering Report”.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven working experience in project management.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including detail part drawings, mechanical layouts, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
  • Control systems experience.
  • Technical documentation, parts list, owner’s manuals, service guides.
  • System Design / Manufacturing plant layout.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily an office environment with some time required in the field and on the manufacturing floor observing and/or coordinating installs, tests, troubleshooting, etc.

Light, short notice travel sometimes required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
