Muller Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for its Structural Team at the Project Engineer level. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled professional who wishes to be part of our expanding team. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment to successfully deliver Muller’s numerous transportation projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Structural engineering from design through construction on a variety of civil engineering structures including highway bridges (steel plate girder & prestressed concrete), pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, foundations and hydraulic structures
- Daily activities include selecting standard bridge engineering/design procedures, developing structural details using specialized software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Prestressed Concrete Design, Steel Design and performing structural design calculations as well as preparing construction drawings, specifications and design reports
- Preliminary and construction cost estimating to select cost-efficient designs for bridges and other structures
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Perform field observation work when necessary, under minimal supervision
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is a plus
- Four to eight years of experience in structural design
- Strong technical knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software
- Experience with bridge load ratings including AASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR) is a plus
- Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and CDOT design requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and organizational skills
Licenses/Registrations:
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado or the ability to obtain in 6 months of hire

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
