Job description

Bluestone Environmental, Inc., a hazardous material removal company based in Bridgeview, Illinois, is seeking an experienced estimator. This position involves visiting job sites, developing a scope-of-work for each project, writing proposals, managing projects, and more. Experience in estimating environmental projects and/or fire and water restoration projects is a plus.

Job Description

The estimator position involves:

· Visiting several project sites each day

· Meeting with potential residential and commercial clients

· Measuring work areas and determine the amount of labor, materials, permits, etc. that are necessary for a project.

· Developing construction schedules and ensuring work is completed on time and within budget

· Complying with company policies and guidelines

· Using Xactimate software to create some estimates

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

· Experience in estimating in one or more of the following:

environmental (asbestos, lead, and mold) projects

fire/water restoration projects

construction or renovation projects

· Knowledge of residential home and commercial building construction

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Good project management skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Extensive customer service experience

· Solid competency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Candidates must have a good presentation, enjoy working with people, and be comfortable answering questions about their projects.

Candidates must own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
