GAI seeks a skilled Project Manager to join our team. Guiding projects in support of GAI’s Transportation business sector out of our Pittsburgh, Cranberry Township, or Southpointe office, your duties in this challenging and rewarding position will include technical development and oversight of PennDOT/ PTC projects; management of financial, schedule, and scope functions; and assisting with project proposals and client interaction.

Job Duties:

  • Development of PennDOT and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Mentoring and managing the development of junior engineers and CADD staff.
  • Demonstrating working knowledge of project management concepts and applying basic skills to effectively manage projects.
  • Directly managing a small number of projects with at least $250k of total annual billings.
  • Developing proposed project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and fees.
  • Assembling and leading the project team to execute the scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability of all projects managed.
  • Working with Project Controls staff to analyze project performance data and develop recovery plans as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining successful client relationships and serving as client contact for projects managed.
  • Traveling to GAI and client office locations as needed to meet with clients and attend project meetings.

Experience

Required
  • 7 year(s): • 7+ years of total technical experience, with at least 2 of those years serving as a Task or Project Manager, preferably with an engineering consulting or similar professional services firm.

Education

Preferred
  • Bachelors or better in Civil Engineering or related field
