Project Manager
General Summary
Primary responsibility would be to oversee Credit Union projects and product implementations. Project manager is responsible for the coordination, implementation, control, and completion of project, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the Credit Union. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Set deadlines, coordinate with departments, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Understand identification of all stakeholders and affected parties for project completion.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Lead project related status and discovery meetings.
- Effectively work with multiple areas and departments within the credit union.
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation of the process or system.
- Help define new PMO structure for a growing financial institution.
- Create workflows, artifacts, processes, and procedures to augment project, program, portfolio success.
- Performing detailed requirements analysis
- Ensure crisp and robust reporting
- Documenting processes
- Performing some user acceptance testing
- May need to be flexible for system changes off the normal schedule.
- Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.
- Completes all special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Must be able to manage multiple projects, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities with a positive, proactive attitude; Excellent verbal, documentation, and critical thinking skills. Able to see, define and implement new processes. PMO experience or Certified PMP is a plus.
