Project Manager

· The proposed Project Manager will have a comprehensive understanding of issues related to managing a diverse group of sub-recipients for a program that serves clients in developing countries and is supported by U.S. Government funding; strong management experience, problem solving and interpersonal skills, ability to manage dynamic client needs, and experience in budgeting and financial management. S/he will also have experience in interacting with U.S. Government agencies, other donors, and partners. Experience in or knowledge of program design in international development programs is desirable.


  • Specifically,
  • The candidate has held previous posts with significant management responsibility in an international setting;
  • Master’s Degree in international affairs or development-oriented field preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of USAID’s policies, priorities and projects is preferred
  • The candidate has at least 5-7 years of experience in managing a government contracts, especially with significant sub-recipients;
  • The candidate has at least 5-7 years of experience in mid-to senior level position at a non- governmental organizations implementing/managing programs in a developing country context;
  • The candidate is available within one month of project start-up.
