AV PROJECT MANAGERS / COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE

Spectra Audio Design Group is a 45-year leading New York City based Custom Audiovisual Design and Installation Company. We have openings for talented, EXPERIENCED Project Managers.

Candidates MUST possess experience in the project management of Commercial Audiovisual Systems including but not limited to: Video Conferencing, integrated conference rooms, networking, video wall, signage, and construction site management.

Commercial AV experience of 5 years REQUIRED.

Polycom, Cisco, Biamp, Vaddio, QSC, Crestron, Extron, etc. experience is required.

Applicants should possess a majority of the following skills:

• Must be willing to attend onsite meetings as needed
• Working knowledge of audio-visual systems
• Understanding construction drawings and wiring schematics
• Experience with white glove client management
• Construction management experience on commercial projects
• Ability to create a project plan and execute it
• Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project) experience required
• Ability to manage all facets of a project to ensure that all resources are functioning effectively and efficiently
• Excellent email and written communication skills
• Ability to perform quality control on project documentation
• High level understanding of video conferencing hardware and software
• General knowledge of audio systems, networking, control systems, video systems
• Familiarity with all major hardware manufacturers
• Knowledge of the following is a plus: broadcast, studios, network engineering, dante/avb, soft conferencing
• Ability to lead client conversations pertaining to added scope and upgrades

Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Prompt and accurate communication with Clients, trades, architects, client representatives, field technicians, programmers, management and all other trades related to our scope of work.
• Attend site meetings as needed
• Manage and maintain coordination with other trades onsite (GC, EC, Carpenter)
• Coordinating with lighting and shade vendors for redundant controls
• Facilitating field team to capture red-lines on drawings
• Creating a project plan including a schedule for every project
• Generate Status Reports
• Work with internal teams to coordinate and document networking requirements
• Ongoing education to stay informed about latest technology
• Coordinating, scheduling and leading client and project team calls
• Documenting projects properly for future reference
• Working with management team to schedule field team resources effectively
• Perform and document site surveys
• Manage field team and ensure that open items are addressed
• Communicate frequently with manager of field operations
• Communicate frequently with onsite foreman and lead field engineer to ensure accurate updates and project execution
• Issue field reports
• Manage change orders
• Punch-listing and following through to complete open items and close projects
• Coordinating client training
