As a Project Manager on the ConMet team, you will be responsible for responsible for ensuring success with ConMet’s customers and suppliers, as well as managing the technical areas of New Business Development, New Product Introduction (NPI) /Software TBD and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual is expected to be able to manage software and system development lifecycle activities, build, support and maintain operational procedures, and communicate to all technical, business stakeholders and working alongside product, controls software developers, IT and have knowledge in all stages of software development.

This position is open due to key growth.

This role requires working in an office environment (not hybrid or remote) at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation (relocation assistance available).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct the effort to define the project scope and objectives related to controls/software development, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Experience in Scrum / Agile methodologies as scrum master and working with cross-functional teams
  • Create and maintain software project schedule, project status reports, metrics planning, release planning, project dashboard and milestone tracking
  • Support software development/release readiness review, phase exit, sprint planning, lessons learned meetings and project close out report
  • Apply multiple project management methods and skills to tailor the execution of software projects with various scope and implementation plans
  • Identify and resolve issues/risks using established software engineering and project management tools and techniques
  • Implement enhancements to project management procedures and processes at ConMet through continuous improvement and lean efforts
  • Ensure all project documentation (including software functional test and acceptance testing report) is accurate and reliable

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Five (5) + years’ experience in engineering
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Project Management
  • Participated in the Scrum based Agile development methodology
  • Source control with code hosts such as Github, BitBucket

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial Vehicle experience highly preferred
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with Agile
