ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Diligently working on behalf of the client and GARDINER to achieve project goals and meet deadlines
• Supervising and stimulating procurement activities as required ensuring on time delivery of components and equipment
• Conducting quality control inspections for work performed by independent contractors
• Communicating with all stakeholders professionally and honestly as to the progress of the project
• Developing and maintaining business relationships vital to success, including contractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements
• Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards
• Maintains working knowledge of performance contracting, HVAC controls and HVAC systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general construction or field engineering demonstrating strong mechanical background
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• HVAC controls knowledge is preferred
• PMP is a plus
• Excellent understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, foundations, carpentry, and masonry work.
• Ability to pass background check allowing entrance to locations such as schools and nursing homes
• Valid driver's license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit and/or stand and/or walk for a long period of time.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 10 lbs - 25 lbs on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to reach with hands above head, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to access job sites which could include climbing ladders; work in hot and/or cold environments; work around chemical odors, noise and dust using necessary protective equipment.
