Role Title: Property Accountant

Work Location: Needham Heights, MA 02494

Job Type: Full-Time Equivalent / Direct Hire

Interview Mode: Video (MS Team Meeting) + In-Person

Job Distraction:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly financial packages
• Reconcile property taxes
• Post bad debt journal entries per property manager’s report
• Process monthly management fees
• Assist management with year end audit / tax prep
• Assist management with special projects and other tasks assigned
• Challenges and stream-lines functional tasks for maximum efficiency
• Provides support and back-up assistance to other accounting team members, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
• 2 years of general accounting experience; experience in real estate property accounting is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
• Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting software is a plus.
