Job Summary

The Proposal Writer will join a dynamic Business Development team and be responsible for creating world-class proposals as well as supporting materials for our prospects. In addition to formatting, drafting, editing, finalizing and submitting RFP responses, the Proposal Writer will conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with RFP guidelines, specifications, formats, and deadlines as well as assist in the design and utilization of project management and process improvement efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

Cradle-to-grave proposal management, including but not limited to:

• Drafting, editing, formatting, reviewing, and submitting;
• Subject Matter Expert interviews;
• Working with the Pricing team to ensure alignment in pricing and response
• Open-Source Research;
• Federal and State business procurement and certification management;
• Project setup administration, monitoring and reporting;
• Review and edit technical reports and documents according to industry standards (including for style, grammar, formatting, and consistency);
• Work closely with Marketing Department in developing and editing marketing materials for print;
• Internal – company resumes, presentations, templates; and
• External – brochures, website, newsletters, and advertising.

• Perform miscellaneous editing/writing, office, and project assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or other relevant major required from an accredited university with minimum GPA of 3.5
• 5+ years of experience in technical writing or editing in a similar industry (preferred)
• Proven technical writing and editing skills
• Experience with a variety of writing styles: technical, creative, and marketing
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently
• Ability to be responsible and meet deadlines consistently
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills (required)
• Salesforce and Proposal Management software skills (preferred)

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
