Job description
Description:

Equip front-line health care providers to make care safer and more effective for people with Medicare. Health Quality Innovators (HQI) is seeking an education professional with experience helping subject matter experts identify and fill knowledge gaps that prevent the implementation and spread of evidence-based best practices.

The Provider Education Specialist creates a strategic framework for educational content development and delivery that spans multiple HQI improvement initiatives. Essential components of this strategy include guiding our improvement teams to connect educational programming to goals like improving the early identification of chronic kidney disease and decreasing infections that people can get in nursing homes and hospitals.

You will work with improvement teams to define audiences and assess learning needs, use data to identify and prioritize educational topics, establish learning objectives and curricula, select appropriate learning formats (e.g., interactive learning modules, live webinars, etc.), source existing educational programs or identify key content an HQI educational program needs to cover, review draft learning materials, and evaluate the impact of educational programs.

As Provider Education Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that learning content developed by our improvement teams is ready for production by the communications team and that improvement teams have a plan for follow-up that helps providers put knowledge into action. You will oversee scheduling to avoid conflicts with other internal and major external learning events and manage our Learning Management System. When continuing education credits can drive participation, you will help HQI partner with organizations that provide them.

This is a terrific opportunity to take your educational career in a strategic direction while contributing to better care for thousands of people across the United States. You will have the benefit of working with talented and interesting colleagues in a communications department that offers multiple opportunities to learn and grow. You also will have access to administrative support. Plus, because this is a remote position, you will enjoy the flexibility that comes with working from home.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, a health care discipline or related field.
