Are you looking for a career where you can apply your love of math, data, and science to inform business strategy and work with diverse teams on challenging projects? Are you interested in being a part of an exciting rotational program that is focused on developing technical and professional skills while collaborating alongside leaders in the actuarial community? If you are results driven, have a passion for working with data, and are deeply technical and highly innovative, then Prudential’s Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) is the place for you!

The Actuarial Leadership Development Program is a full-time rotational program in which you will be assigned to a variety of challenging roles across business units. Associates will complete four twelve-month rotations within traditional, core actuarial functions to develop technical skills and a strong actuarial base followed by a two-year capstone assignment in a traditional or non-traditional function to deepen knowledge and develop managerial skills.

Actuaries at Prudential partner with groups such as marketing, sales, underwriting, and investments to create new insurance, annuity retirement, and investment products. In addition to roles in traditional actuarial areas, our actuaries also work in finance, investment, asset management, and marketing. This presents a unique opportunity for our actuaries to move around the organization and develop their careers with a variety of different teams.

ALDP roles are available within a variety of business units including Individual Life and Annuities, Retirement, Group Insurance, International, and Corporate Actuarial. Associates are expected to pass the Society of Actuaries’ exams at a prescribed pace. The program is designed to support you as you work towards your FSA and provide the training and resources necessary to become a well-rounded actuarial leader. Upon completion of your FSA and capstone assignment, you will be considered a graduate of the program and will be prepared for a variety of management level opportunities throughout the enterprise.
