We are looking for Registered Nurses who have experience or an interest in Mental Health Nursing to help us on our mission to meet the needs of our community.

Peachford has been a leader in behavioral health and addictive disease treatment since 1973. Our 246 bed hospital treats nearly 10,000 children, adults and seniors every year who come seeking the best psychiatric care available. We are located on a 38 acre wooded campus in the Dunwoody neighborhood of North Atlanta and over 500 incredibly talented employees call us home. We are looking for Registered Nurse candidates who are dedicated and committed to providing the highlest level of compassionate care.

We are searching for full time Registered Nurses for the evening shift with no weekend requirement. Charge Nurse roles are also available.

• An understanding of mental illness and its effects on an individual
• An understanding of addiction and it's effect on the lives of those affected by it
• Ability to interact with individuals of all cognitive levels and various histories of trauma
• Desire to interact with patients and to advocate for their care
• Ability to maintain healthy boundaries – we are here to help, not to befriend
• Patience and understanding
• Ability to verbally de-escalate agitated patients
• Supportive of teamwork – it takes a village
• A strong understanding of the importance of following rules and policies
• Above all, the desire and ability to keep our patients safe

What's Required In Order to Successful in this Role:

We train you to be the best, but there are a few minimum requirements for this position:

Education - Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience - Prefer one year of nursing experience

Licensure - Georgia or eCompact MultiState Nursing License

• Above average written and oral communication skills.
• Skills in case management.
• Skills in time management.
• Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology.
• Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.
• Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
• Ability to treat all age populations or the capacity to learn skills through Peachford's orientation program.
• Ability to summarize pertinent clinical information via medical record documentation.
