Seeking a pre-licensed psychologist with a passion to work in a child-centered clinic providing services centered at supporting children and their families.
We aim to help children process complex emotions and better regulate their own responses to stressors in their day-to-day lives. We provide services to those with attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, behavioral/emotional dysregulation, and trauma. We also work to help parents better understand their children by providing psychoeducation and by working conjointly with parents to determine if a family might benefit from changes in the home or school setting.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a clinical setting providing individual therapeutic services and family therapy, along with psychoeducation. Clinicians may conduct a variety of psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment for the purpose of diagnostic clarification or to better direct therapeutic intervention. In addition to in-person treatment, an option to provide clinical treatment via HIPAA compliant telehealth is available. Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, if desired.
Continuing education and training will be provided in topics related to childhood development, childhood assessment, and disability, in addition to various therapeutic approaches and interventions. Weekly group supervision in areas of clinical treatment of children and adolescents, assessment of children and adolescents, multiculturalism, LGBTQIA+ topics, and neurodiversity. Individual supervision provided in areas of clinical treatment and psychological assessment.
Clinicians will develop and lead process groups, create seminars related to educating parents and community providers on concerns related to childhood development, and write educational blog entries to bring information related to mental health to a broader community.
Salary commensurate with experience. Merit increase reviewed after 90 days. Experience in working with children and adolescents is strongly preferred. Must have assessment experience in areas in areas of intellectual ability and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Must have completed clinical hours in a formal practicum/internship working directly with clients. Must posess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from a clinical psychology program. Must be able to register as a psychological assistant with the California Board of Psychology. Applicant must provide proof of COVID vaccination and booster when applicable.
