Job Description
The Public Relations Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of strategies aligned to the assigned business unit. This position collaborates at all levels of the organization to drive a variety of public relations and reputation-building initiatives to support Prime’s point of view and competitive position in the marketplace, and to support our members. Additionally, this role aids the company’s crisis management and communications efforts.
Responsibilities
  • Support the department’s multi-year strategy to enhance the organization’s reputation via public, news and social media channels; promote Prime’s products, services and capabilities through interaction with journalists, speaking engagements/sponsorships, awards ceremonies, influencer campaigns and social media outlets
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders within the assigned business unit to evaluate, plan, and implement public relations strategies and tactics aligned to the company’s strategic priorities and business objectives
  • Advocate for, develop, execute and measure integrated, multi-channel communication strategies in alignment with other marketing, employee and client communication initiatives; evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency and scalability of reputation management activities (i.e., media results, page views, open rates, etc.) and deliver reporting or insights to internal teams and leaders as appropriate
  • Quickly assess industry, company, and clinical situations and translate them into effective, comprehensive communications that deliver Prime’s message and position to all pertinent audiences; proactively pitch Prime as a resource to reporters and provide rapid response/news statements on business issues
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications and Events to identify and engage in strategic speaking opportunities for Prime subject matter experts or executives; support leaders and colleagues with development of presentations and communications representing Prime’s point of view
  • Collaborate with the Creative Services team to assure alignment of verbal and visual messaging in collateral, presentations, video and other communications
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication or public relations, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
  • 5 years of work experience in related agency or corporate communications roles
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
  • Familiarity with interactive media and communication tools including video, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, PRNewswire, Vocus, and social media platforms; demonstrated ability to write for social media
  • Proven ability to effectively distill complex information into clear and compelling communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport and collaborate effectively across departments, internally and externally, and at all levels within an organization
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analysis skills
  • Ability to confidently represent the business and interact with external entities
  • Organization and prioritization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple, complex projects, under pressure and strict timeframes, without compromising quality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management training and/or experience
  • Public Relations experience working on behalf of a corporation
  • Experience in health care industry; pharmacy or pharmacy benefit management industry knowledge

Reporting Structure
  • Reports to a Director in the Marketing Department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $71,700.00 - $107,300.00 based on location, experience and skills.
