OVERVIEW/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position is multi-faceted and extremely fast paced, and provides an opportunity to work in a team environment. Individual must be able to multi-task, have above average computer knowledge, knowledge of electrical materials and comfortable working at a desk and on the telephone.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Process material orders and equipment requirements.
• Process material requisitions, Purchase Orders, PO confirmations and change orders
• Update PO pricing and delivery dates
• Conduct pricing comparisons and create selection criteria for suppliers
• Must be able to understand inventory costing and how changes to pricing of an item has an effect on inventory
• Conduct warehouse stock checks
• Review and approve pricing, terms, freight, etc.
• Understand units of measure and determine how to buy per the appropriate unit of measure
• Review material package and subcontract review (scope of work)
• Review and negotiate quoted material packages
• Provide product and pricing updates to project teams, estimating and engineering
• Review material cost and purchase price variance status reports
• Develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships with Vendors
• Review product and service offerings Ability to drive cost reductions
• Review vendor performance
• Meet deadlines for POs, quotes, submittals and delivery dates
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to source new products and services
• Support the control of externally provided processes, products, and services for ISO 9001:2015.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years Electrical Industry experience
• 1-2 years Electrical Project Management experience
• Above average computer skills and experience with computer programs (Word, Excel, Works, etc.)
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks

• Strong in math and deductive reasoning
• Should be self-motivated and self-starter
• Should have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Should be able to communicate ideas and instructions clearly
• Should be able to work well with others and be well organized and thorough

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and/or the Sourcing Manager

COMPENSATION:

Construction Innovations pays hourly/salary rates commensurate with each employees knowledge, experience and skill level.
