Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Morris, MN company as they search to add a Purchasing Coordinator to the team. The Purchasing Coordinator is respectable for maintenance spare parts inventory and purchasing using the computer maintenance management system (CMMS). Assist with maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. This position requires a great deal of flexibility and the ability to adapt to change but comes with the opportunity to support and thrive in many areas of business. The position is M-F and will offer a competitive wage ($40,000-55,000) and benefit plan.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
Maintains the plant maintenance program.
- Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment. Initiates reordering when necessary.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with computerized maintenance management systems and instruct others.
- Strong communications skills are necessary.
- Maintains and repairs maintenance shop & plant equipment if necessary.
- Helps maintenance technicians with computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history.
- Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations or solving maintenance related problems.
- Ensures spare parts are available for preventative maintenance and scheduled plant shutdowns, maintain and audit warehouse inventory.
- Receive incoming parts and supplies and verify receipts to the purchase orders.
- Have a good working knowledge of pump, valves, plant pneumatic and hydraulic systems ect.
- Participate with Maintenance rotating on call duties.
- Participate with plant safety programs: lock out tag out, confined space entry. Initiates and implements the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the ethanol industry, with an emphasis on preventive and predictive maintenance.
Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
- Ensures city, county state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all times. Coordinate activities with other departments
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
- Maintains safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
- Communicates directly with QA laboratory to ensure effective participation by maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
- Provide daily documentation to the accounting department for invoice processing.
