Closet World is a complete home organizing service and the industry leading manufacturer of fine quality custom closets, garage systems, home offices, and organizing storage needs.

The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for purchasing materials according to operational needs taking into account price, quality and delivery. The Purchasing Manager will also analyze our current buying systems, establish buyer goals, develop procurement strategies and create a streamlined inventory control process.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities ensuring Company performance standards are met.
• Creates, monitors and maintains the tracking and reporting of key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Analyzes historical data of materials and parts creating spread sheets for standardizing buying
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly quality audits
• Negotiates with vendors to reduce cost of new and existing items
• Manages inventory levels on a daily and weekly basis
• Ensures internal documentation and system procedures are timely and accurately completed
• Responds to internal turnaround time goals, customer expectations, and customer feedback.

Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)

• 5+ years’ Purchasing experience
• Expert with sourcing and vendor management
• Successful negotiation and forecasting skills required
• Experience in inventory control and replenishment required
• Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
• Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies
• Strong planning and financial skills a must
• Experience with Mas 200 or Sage a huge plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability work independently in a fast paced and rapid changing environment
