SUMMARY
The Purchasing Project Coordinator is a key asset in implementing and improving our global performance and Supply Chain Strategy.The personnel assuming this role will ensure that upcoming projects are implemented successfully by gathering equipment, resources, and information supported by multi-functional teams. In addition, they will maintain budgets for each task while also organizing shareholder meetings to bring together all stakeholders involved with a particular project. Their role is to lead projects and improve our global performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Launching and coordinating projects (Team creation, project scoping, routines facilitation, KPI selections and updates, reporting).
- Select and develop suppliers / subcontractor (benchmark, capability analysis, request for proposal and prices comparison, qualification)
- Participates in continuous improvement activities and provides suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiency.
- Liaise with vendors to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Help prepare internal budgets.
- Review, analyze and interpret CAD files and schematics.
- Analyze risks and opportunities.
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues that arise.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, tools, plans and reports.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/S) in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration.
- Minimum 6 years related experience as a Project coordinator, Project Manager or Program Manager position in a high-volume manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Transfer of Work / Supplier qualification and development / Industrial projects
- Working and specialized knowledge of the interdepartmental operations.
- Technical Skills – Ability to understands and interpret technical data and documentation.
- Working knowledge of MRP system and network procurement system. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to scrutinize information providing succinct information on risks and proposed actions. Ability to quantify/evaluate manufacturing processes and technologies to identify capabilities and ensure “best cost” solutions for purchased components and new product cost parameters.
- Must have excellent Oral and Written communication skills along with basic knowledge of different communication materials. (e.g., proposals, reports, presentations, speeches). Basic writing ability to assist in preparation of departmental correspondence and documents.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk.
- This position is mainly sedentary; Therefore, required to sit.
- Must be able to enter data into a computer by use of a keyboard and mouse and be able to sit for long periods at his/her desk as well as occasionally visit employees throughout the building to gather data and clarify information.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job are those necessary for clearly reading printed material and information printed on a computer screen.
