Job Description:

Responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces. Familiar with development and testing practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance); Analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors; Triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Participates, contributes and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events. e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes. Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and automate data pipelines sourcing data from internal and external systems, transforming the data for the optimal needs of various systems
  • Drive architectural plans and implementation for data storage, ETL, reporting, and analytic solutions
  • Coordinate with development teams and work closely with end users to design, build, test, debug and maintain software solutions of moderate complexity
  • Write scalable, reusable code using Python programming language for Windows- and Linux-based front-end and back-end components that interact with end users and integrate with internal and external services
  • Implement new business functionality to meet business and customer requirements
  • Ensure software stability via documentation, code reviews, regression, unit and user acceptance testing so production operations run successfully
  • Ensure that all systems meet the business/company requirements as well as industry practices
  • Influence your team’s technical decisions by making insightful contributions to team priorities and approach

Required Skills:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of Python development experience
  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), SQL and writing/optimizing advanced SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems and software applications
  • Scripting languages (Perl, shell scripts, etc.), and Unix-based operating systems (especially Linux)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices, and API Gateways
