Panoptic Media Solutions is looking for a Python Development Instructor to run a weekly class for students of all ages looking to learn to code with Python.
Panoptic is an established digital marketing and design firm that is expanding into technology education. Our mission has been to help our clients, as business owners, navigate the ever-expanding world of technology, keeping them up-to-date and establishing or elevating the web platforms, digital marketing, and overall online representation of their company.
We are now establishing coding classes to allow access to our team members and contractors, our clients, and anyone else looking to enter the world of coding. We are looking for an experience Python Developer/Programmer who can run a weekly class for beginners and aid students as they follow the lesson plans we provide. We are hiring for fall semester but can keep you onboard for future semesters at the approval of both parties.

Responsibilities
- 40 minute weekly class- engaging with students, answering their questions and helping with their learning journey with the provided lesson plan (or your own lesson plan if desired) as they follow tutorial programs, watch video lectures, perform exercises, etc.
- Give insightful, helpful supplemental instruction to support the content students are learning
- Respond to student questions throughout the week; Evaluate students' weekly assignments and semester project progress; give them feedback on areas of improvement or where they are struggling
- Be responsive to individual student needs and handle different levels of experience and knowledge within the class
Requirements/Skills
- 2+ years of knowledge in Python programming/development
- Experience developing and deploying services to AWS
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Postgres, SQL, Flask, Django, and/or Docker is a plus
- Additional skills preferred: Familiarity with DevOps tools and continuous delivery pipelines, AWS Certified Developer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field is highly preferred but not required
- Teaching experience is highly desired

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour
