GENERAL SUMMARY:


We are a Specialty Pharmacy seeking a QA Lab Technician with the ability to represent our company and themselves professionally. Ideally this person will also possess excellent communication skills; reading and writing as well as the ability to speak clearly and be sympathetic toward client’s needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sterilize and replenish IV room supplies
  • Document all oven and autoclaves cycles with the appropriate information
  • Responsible for maintaining and documenting an accurate count on Prudential Gown inventory
  • Assist QA Specialist with supply inventory management and ordering
  • Appropriately wash and sterilize various instruments including beakers, spatulas, wash bottles, etc.
  • Execute all cleanroom and lab environmental monitoring,
  • Safely document, pack, and ship samples to outside lab for testing
  • Effectively download all temperature monitoring using the appropriate software’s
  • Prepare inventory deliveries for storage and/or transfer into the cleanroom
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and clean QA laboratory

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • 1 Year Prior Lab experience (college experience pipetting/ analytical skills or six-month related lab experience or training)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and
  • Bachelor’s Degree in: Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Kinesiology

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (examples):

Language Skills

  • Ability to understand, read, and write English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos, policy and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage in the interactive process with the QA Specialist to discuss and comply with regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information, answer questions, and professionally respond to any concerns in a one-on-one and small group situation with the QA Specialist, pharmacists, and other employees of the Company.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as analytical information; operation, maintenance, policies & procedure, and instructions/ manuals. Ability to write routine professional reports and correspondence.

Computer Skills

  • Computer softwareProficient in; Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, as well as other software packages.
  • Must also be able to type at least 40 wpm.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to interpret and interact with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Analytical Skills

  • Ability to process and analyze vague, abstract verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to visualize and assess abstract ideas and develop structured plans for implementation of marketing plans.
  • Ability to read, analyze complex documents, and communicate analysis in oral and written form.

  • Glassware and other various laboratory supplies

Agility

  • Be able to don a cleanroom gown, including mask and wear for a reasonable amount of time (Requires balance and the ability to stand on one leg)
  • You must be able to stand for at least 50% of the day while testing.
  • Lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Push, pull, grasp, and support 40 lbs while stocking materials.

Hours of Operation:


Monday through Friday 9am-5:30pm


Expected to work overtime and weekends based on business necessity. Must be able to work when required.
