What does a Quality Technician do?

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing materials and product testing of incoming materials, work in progress materials, and finished goods product to ensure they consistently meet customer requirements and PAC standards.

• Assist in non-conforming process and reporting, as well as assist in customer and supplier issue investigations.

• Calibrate and provide preventative maintenance to Quality Lab equipment

• Test incoming material, as well as finished goods, following PAC procedures and standards

• Perform quality tests on in-process materials to ensure all operators and packers are following quality standards specific to customer specifications

• Provide timely and accurate quality related reports as requested by management

• Gather and input inspection data, as well as analyze it to recommend solutions

• Promote, encourage, and support continuous improvement efforts

What are the qualifications?

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED certificate

• Must be capable of speaking, reading and writing English

• Ability to read and interpret general quality procedures and test methods

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

• Excellent attention to detail, as well as capable of problem solving, and follow-up on commitments
