We are seeking a QC Supervisor to join our team!

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of activities to ensure domestic and global compliance with all cosmetic regulatory requirements. The QC technician assists the QA Manager in daily quality activities including data reporting/compiling, finished good inspections, laboratory testing and regulatory activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Laboratory testing of customer complaints and returned goods samples. Follow up findings with Customer Care.

2. Perform and document QC testing of raw ingredients, in-process goods, finished goods and packaging materials.

3. Assist in maintaining QC laboratory in audit-ready state and cGMP compliant

4. Inspection and performing on-line QC checks of all finished good filling processes.

5. Document/report results as required. Report any non-conforming results to QC Supervisor, QA Director and Production Supervisor.

6. Give direction to Production Team(s) to shut down the filling processes when non-conforming processes are identified.

• Routine inspections of Finished Goods (FGs), incoming inspections of products and components to ensure product conformance to standards:
• Appearance, Color, Odor, Lot Codes, Defect Levels, incoming/new labels approval, etc.
• Daily management of Finished Goods product retain program
• Member of Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) Team
• Perform non-conformance investigations
• Re-inspections, retesting, identifying FG warehouse locations and quantities (internal and external)
• Perform lot code searches and product recovery
• Report all findings to Quality and Operations Management
• Assist in maintaining the Quality Hold Program
• Conducts Quality Audits (Internal) and reports results to QC Supervisor or QA Director
• Communicates quality concerns to Operations Team and assists in determining root cause analysis
• Complies, interprets data and reports results to QC Supervisor/QA Director
• Assist in regulatory activities (domestic and international)
• Retrieval and Verification of All Certificate of Analysis (COAs) Prior to Unloading.
• Assist in Various Department Functions/Duties s required.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Works with Customer Care team, Production personnel, Purchasing and Quality to resolve customer/consumer complaints.
• Communicates quality concerns and improvements with the Operations Team.
• Supports Research and Development in multiple aspects: Vendor Qualifications, Raw Material testing, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school desired along with 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Mathematical Abilities.
• Effective Communication Skills
• current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) Knowledge
• Good Decision Making and Trouble shooting skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Some knowledge with Microsoft Office
• Document Control Experience (Preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires sitting, walking, bending and standing to a varying degree. Can require the pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
