Utica First Insurance Company is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst for our Oriskany, NY

location.

This position will be responsible for designing and performing functional unit testing of different

disciplines within the organization. This position will work closely with Business Analysts and Business

SME’s to write test cases and implement them against ongoing development across different software

programs. Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate user acceptance testing, and ensuring we have

quality programs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Participate in meetings with business units with Business Analyst to gather business needs and

requirements in order to create test case required.

• Develops user acceptance test plans by analyzing business requirements and engaging with

project team members and subject matter experts as necessary.

• Supports the management of the user acceptance testing process, coordinate with business

users as required, identifying the testing team, and setting up a testing schedule.

• Tests functionality alongside business subject matter experts and on own in order to test the

delivered functionality in real-world scenarios.

• Tracks issues uncovered during testing.

• Collaborates with external and internal development teams to address issues found during

testing and validates those corrective actions taken by development will resolve those issues.

• Supports activities throughout project lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot test related issues to determine failure point

• Report issues that are clear, concise and in a timely manner to Vice President of Operations and

other leadership as directed.

Experience requirements:

Minimum 1-3 years QA testing activities.

• Strong documentation experience

• Knowledge of current technologies, tools, applications, and vendors.

• Ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships, including contact with clients, vendors, and co-

workers

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Continued educational development in Insurance or project

management preferred.

Hybrid Work Model - This position will be on site with the ability to work remotely part time.
