About the Job

Family Centered Services of Alaska is searching for a Quality Assurance Assistant. The Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant is responsible for assisting and reviewing staff electronic notes submitted in the electronic medical records system. This position is full time at 30 hours per week. This position will require work at both FCSA locations in the Fairbanks area.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The ability to think creatively, develop abstract ideas and provide both short- and long-range visionary strategies
  • Conduct internal review of client files for all assigned programs to ensure the files meet all licensing and Medicaid regulations and inform program directors of review results.
  • Assist if necessary, in training of program staff in how to complete forms and/or make appropriate treatment documentation.
  • Oversee the review of all client progress notes for all programs and ensure that all documentation meets grantor and Medicaid regulations.
  • Community liaison that will represent FCSA to the professional and social community.
  • Acts as technical resource to staff.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • A thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-point.
  • Knowledge of Alaska childcare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Current Alaska driver’s license and insurable driving history.
  • Freedom from previous criminal convictions that may adversely affect the employee’s potential performance contingent on a fingerprint and/or records check.

This position is a driving position. Applicants will be required to submit a driving record if selected for the position.

All applicants must be at least 21 years of age due to State of AK regulations and must pass a State of AK Background Check. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a medical or religious exemption prior to date of hire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.20 - $17.19 per hour
