QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT
COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES - WRAP DEPARTMENT – COLUMBIA, SC
Full time position available in the Columbia, SC office, and will report to the Director Performance and Quality Improvement or designee. SCYAP is seeking a task- and detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who works as a part of a team which ensures the collection, organization, and review of program documentation to ensure Medicaid, regulatory, program, and COA compliance. SCYAP offers the opportunity to work with and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable, at-risk children and adolescents across the state of South Carolina.
Job Related Education/Experience:
· Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the area of healthcare or child welfare administration; experience in quality assurance of documentation: tracking, resolving, and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to log findings in the appropriate system of record, and correctly routing results for reporting purposes
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data management systems, and electronic medical records (EMR)
Job Related Skills/Competencies:
· Ability to learn, understand, and administer appropriate quality assurance procedures for the receipt, review, and reconciliation of client-related documentation per service/program
· Ability to learn, understand, and apply appropriate Medicaid, Council on Accreditation, Request for Proposal and other contract standards for client documentation and identify training areas for interdisciplinary team members
· Ability to perform data entry and maintain a system of tracking and monitoring confidential client files and create appropriate status reports
· Provide appropriate assistance in response to requests for data/information, including but not limited to audits, requests for proposals, internal/external document requests, and other appropriate requests
· Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance
· Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward clients, families, and interdisciplinary team
· Maintain professional working relationships with interdisciplinary team, associates, clients, families, vendors, etc. with integrity
· Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
· Perform other duties as assigned
