Position Title: Quality Assurance Reviewer/Auditor
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports to : Quality Assurance Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of Quality Assurance Supervisor, reviews and audits patient charts and documentation to support activities of agency. Prepares reports, trainings and communicates directly with patient care staff to assure and improve the quality of the organizations services.
SALARY RANGE
$30 - $44 / hour DOE

HOURS
40 per week, Monday - Friday
CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
- Implements assigned portions of TTC’s Quality Assurance Work Plan as outlined in Policy and other documents.
- Conducts record reviews, audits and mock surveys of TTC’s EHR and other electronic and paper records.
- Accompanies external auditors and surveyors when audits encompass records for which the QA Department is responsible, as assigned.
- Writes and distributes Corrective Action Plans to appropriate Programs when errors are found. Tracks responses from Correction Action Plans.
- Works with the QA Supervisor, and Program staff to develop policies and procedures to prevent error.
- Assists in responding to Corrective Action Plans from funding agencies, as needed.
- Assists in developing and conducts trainings for administrative and clinical staff about medical record quality.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by CEO, Director of Information Technology or QA Supervisor.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Masters level degree with at least three years of work experience. Prior experience in auditing and/or quality assurance in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, Department of Mental Health and Joint Commission standards preferred.
