Job Summary:
Everyware is growing rapidly, and we are eager to talk with experienced professionals for a QA Engineer role. This position requires a self-starter with a creative edge, strong problem-solving skills, and an understanding of solid QA software testing concepts. In this role, you'll participate in designing, planning, executing, monitoring, and improving testing procedures. This role reports to the Sr. Implementation Project Manager and is either hybrid or remote, with the flexibility to report to the office on an ad-hoc basis.
What you'll do:
- Reviews design specifications to understand the software product's scope, requirements, and function.
- Identifies appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate; parameters may include general function, the validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct functional and regression testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and software development practices conform to established guidelines.
- Has a complete understanding of development/production lifecycles and is willing to provide suggestions for improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Identifies, documents, and recreates error codes, bugs, and defects.
- When a product does not perform within specifications, reports defects to programmers while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates.
- Develop and implement detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for new and existing product features.
- Suggest solutions, improvements, or enhancements to meet the end user's needs.
- Validate quality by implementing non-functional tests for collecting baselines and measuring against them. Constantly improve the software testing process using automation scripts and emerging technology.
- Develop QA/BA standards and company processes with improvements as needed.
- Evaluate business processes, identify gaps, and uncover areas for improvement.
- Develop functional and non-functional requirements through constructing workflow charts and diagrams and documenting specifications.
- Experience in manual testing and a strong capacity for exploratory testing.
- Applies Agile practices for successful, sustainable delivery of software solutions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication.
- Experience thinking about user/customer interfaces (UX/CX).
- Experience with Postman and Zendesk preferred.
- Knowledge of QA terminology, methods, and tools.
- Sharp attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 3+ years experience with automated and manual testing.
- 3+ years of previous payment industry or Fintech experience preferred.
2+ years of experience working with team leads on implementation, integration, and customization of SaaS solutions.
