Job description
Ideal candidate is a team leader with critical thinking skills who enjoys interaction with all levels of the manufacturing process. Candidate will supervise and manage quality department personnel in all aspects of inspection, receipt and shipment of product, training, and review of documentation. They will be a top management team member for management review, contract review, problem solving and planning, be a liaison with customer quality personnel regarding non-conformances and corrective actions and a member of the Material Review Board making decisions on product quality.Responsibilities include: perform audits of inspection reports and shipping documents. Oversee control of the measurement equipment used at facility, program SPC and laser inspection system for new parts, coordinate calibration of company instruments, purchasing of quality gauges/instruments, and assist Production Manager with quality concerns. Must be proficient with handheld measuring instruments, comparators and GD&T.
Occasional need to conduct gage R & R studies, prepare FMEA and Control Plans for PPAP submission.
4 day, 40 hour work week. (M-TH)
