JOB DESCRIPTION – Quality Assurance Program Manager

POSITION: QA Program Manager

LOCATION: 7887 E Belleview Ave STE 500, Denver CO 80111 (Remote an Option)

SUPERVISOR: VP Process Development

HOURS: Full Time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week

STATUS: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Vice President Process Development and according to established policies and procedures, the Quality Assurance Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the national clinical quality assurance program. The Quality Assurance Program Manager also works with the National Technologist Director and the Director of Education on process improvement and education for the clinical team.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management:

  • Oversee and manage the senior alert audit team
  • Oversee Audit assignment are assigned per protocol
  • Ensure egregious issues are reviewed and discussed with the appropriate parties.
  • Processing of audit appeals and audit follow-ups
  • Conduct Quality Assurance team meetings
  • Create quarterly QA reports
  • Orientation and education of new auditors

Assistance:

  • Work closely with clinical leadership to maintain and build upon our current quality assurance practices
  • Participate in RCAs, including case review, identification of potential issues, and development of process solutions
  • Assist Territory Directors and Regional Managers with Annual Employee Reviews as necessary
  • Assist Territory Directors and Regional Managers to provide coaching to new technologists
  • Assist Territory Directors and Regional Managers with administering Performance Improvement
  • Assist Territory Directors and Regional Managers with onboarding of new employees

QA Process Development:

  • Maintain and revise quality assurance protocols and questionnaires
  • Work with IT to leverage and analyze quality assurance data
  • Develop and track quality assurance goals
  • Plans for any team member in the region

Miscellaneous:

  • Involved in the interview and hiring process for the fellows
  • Member of the Clinical Leadership Team
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all assure clinical policies and protocols
  • Historically able to be a critical and strategic thinker
  • Superior communication skills, externally and internally
  • Other assigned tasks as required

Clinical (Overseen by Territory Director or Regional Manager of assigned region):

  • Case coverage: 20%-60% (1-3 days/week depending on case volume)
  • Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring clinical services in a professional and competent manner
  • Communicate with surgical team and Remote Supervising Physician in a professional and competent manner
  • Follow all Assure Clinical Policies and Protocols (e.g., documentation, communication, modality specific, procedure specific protocols)
  • Remains immediately available for case coverage during normal business hours and while on call
  • Abide by all Facility specific Policies, Procedures and Practices
  • Obtain and maintain all credentials for which Assure Neuromonitoring provides services for in territories you are responsible for case coverage
  • Always remain HIPAA compliant
  • Participates in all CEU activities offered by Assure Neuromonitoring Education Department
  • Complete required training to maintain CNIM certification


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CNIM board certification
  • Minimum 5 years of Clinical IONM experience
  • Desire to continually push for clinical and process improvements
  • Experience in orienting and training new technologists
  • Desire to contribute to the Clinical Leadership team in helping to shape the practices of the clinical team
  • Entrepreneurial minded with ability to solve issues as they arise
  • Results driven with ability to put in the time/effort needed to succeed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Preferred:

  • Advanced modality monitoring experience
  • Previous leadership experience


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • PowerBI experience preferred
