How do you fit in?
- Our Quality Assurance Specialist will be a detail oriented person to be in charge of all quality assurance activities. The Quality Assurance Specialist’s responsibilities include developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying production, process, or product issues, and presenting solutions. To be successful you should be incredibly thorough and able to help our company maintain the highest quality standards.
- You will also perform product testing per quality plans, industry standards and/or customer requirements along with generating predetermined pass/fail criteria to prevent skewed or misinterpreted results. Review test results in collaboration with QA’s, draw fact-based conclusions. Maintain reports and data collection in order to determine trends or predictive results. Manage test resources, timelines and deadlines for all test scheduling. Support QA on potential design improvements/enhancements based on product test results. Create/write Work Instructions and test standards as assigned by the Quality Manager. Expected to provide input into updating testing standard operating procedures. Participate in the Internal Audit process as an internal auditor of Food Safety and HACCP process. Communicate to manager all test deficiencies or defects for which the consequence to the company could be major. Research and stay informed/proactive of new test equipment, processes and guidelines to insure Airlite’s programs remain current now and in the future. Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects that foster cost savings/avoidance across all departments. Knowledgeable in Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis, PPAP, root cause analysis, corrective actions and problem solving methodology. Improve processes, perform capability studies, and proactively reduce variation/losses.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet unless on the production floor which is usually loud.
