We are looking for a skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join our team in the Fully Cooked Department.
Summary: Manages daily operational and quality activities for the Ready-To-Eat/Processing Division. Responsible for daily monitoring and verification of activities relative to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), USDA standards, and British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Safety Standards.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- 1 year of Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in HACCP, GFSI Programs/Procedures preferred
- Label Verification Experience.
- USDA Standards and Guidelines
- Supervisory and training of Technicians for 2ndShift.
Education/Licenses/ Certifications:
- HACCP Certification preferred.
- Degree in Food Science or Poultry Science helpful, but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful, but not required.
Essential Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data.
- Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Instruct staff in quality control and analytical procedures.
- Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
- Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
- Review quality documentation necessary for regulatory submissions and inspections.
- Stop production if serious product defects are present.
- Verify that raw materials, purchased parts or components, in-process samples, and finished products meet established testing and inspection standards.
- Knowledge sets include quality control Supervisory, Quality Control Procedures.
- Communicate with the QA technicians, maintenance technicians, supervisors, safety, and material control personnel to ensure product quality, timely accurate reporting in a safe work environment, and the product is safe for human consumption.
- Communicate and work with the USDA inspector to assure regulatory standards are met.

Pay: $48,667.00 - $65,000.00 per year
