Summary
Roccor, a Redwire business unit is the leading developer and provider of satellite mechanisms, deployable structures, solar array systems and space antennas to the global space market. The company's key products include deployable solar array systems, antenna systems, deployable structural and mechanical systems and supporting subsystems.
We have a current opportunity for a Quality Manager located at our facility in Longmont, CO. This team member will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee quality activities for the site. Working under the strategic direction of the Sr. Operations Manager, the Quality Manager will ensure that the Quality Management System is compliant to AS9100 / ISO 9001 and will identify areas for improvement. The Quality Manager will oversee the continuous improvement program and identify and plan Kaizen Events in conjunction with area representatives.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluates the Quality Management System and identifies improvements.
  • Leads quarterly management review meetings with upper-level management.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to the QA team, engineering team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance to AS9100 / ISO 9001, customer contractual requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Oversees internal audits, and coordinates compliance audits with registration bodies and customers.
  • Manages non-conformances and corrective actions arising from audit activities.
  • Reviews proposals and contracts for quality requirements.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and other departments to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
  • Oversees Quality Assurance and Quality Control, ensuring each area reaches goals set by departmental and company leadership.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, procedures, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 8 years of progressive experience within a quality role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience with people in a quality system.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, AS9100 OR ISO 13485.
  • Experience with managing quality requirements during new product development life cycle.
  • Experience setting department goals with Quality Assurance and Quality Controls.
  • US Citizen, (Green Card holder and Visa sponsorship not accepted).
Desired Skills
  • Space/Aerospace recent work experience with solar and antenna arrays STRONGLY preferred!
  • Proven track record of identifying initiatives and driving to completion
  • Lean Six Sigma certifications
  • Leading a Safety team
  • Certified Quality Engineer
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience reviewing proposals and contracts for quality requirements
  • Proficiency with Visio and MS Project.
  • Able to work in a rapidly growing, low-volume/high-mix manufacturing environment
Pay Range
$113,000 - $165,000

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay .
