Job Title: Quality Services Assistant

SUMMARY
The Quality Services Assistant will coordinate all credentialing processes and provide support to the Chief Quality Officer through the duties listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinates the process to complete all Joint Commission/Regulatory system requirements for credentialing and provider enrollment:

  • including working with Credentials Verification Organization (CVO), ensuring all documentation is present, preparing credential files, notifying practitioner of privileges
  • Maintains list of privileges for departments working with credentialed persons.
  • Responsible to process requirements for non-credentialed practitioners who order tests or therapy at Welia Health.
  • Facilitates NPI registration
  • Monitors expiration dates of practitioners for licenses, DEAs and malpractice insurance.
  • Assists in the completion of FPPE and OPPE for medical staff.

Facilitates the completion of Joint Commission accreditation activities as identified.

Supports the policies and procedures of the organization and the standards of the Joint Commission as required for full accreditation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate. Associate’s Degree in related field preferred. Healthcare experience is preferred. Attention to detail and proficient computer use required. Experience in using Microsoft Office products Outlook, Excel, and Word required. Demonstrates high level of integrity, professionalism, organizational and time management skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization, demonstrating strong and effective public relations/customer service skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Attention to detail and accuracy. Multi-task oriented and ability to prioritize. Ability to maintain focus while working under time constraints and with interruptions, and a high commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.38 - $29.83 per hour
