The Quality Supervisor's primary responsibility is to ensure that quality product is manufactured and designed according to established standards and that customer requirements are met. This role is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and evaluating product quality, as well as supporting production output goals. This role is responsible for detecting and correcting errors, installing replacement parts, data collection, and ongoing continuous improvement.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead ISO9001 Surveillance and Customer Audits
- Provide technical and process support to our engineering, manufacturing, and vendor groups
- Interface with customers and suppliers to investigate and resolve quality issues
- Report audit findings to upper management and develop plan for corrective action
- Evaluate suppliers to ensure quality standards. Develop process and perform supplier audits
- Manage the calibration program for critical tools and equipment
- Oversee root cause problem solving initiatives
- Oversee corrective action process
- Provide reporting of Quality initiatives and indicators
- Inspect and analyze parts that do not pass test
- Effectively communicate with peers and management, verbally and in writing
- Provide cross functional quality guidance and education to those outside the quality department

- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, sense of urgency, self-directed and self-motivated.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting

Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Strong Electro/Mechanical Aptitude
- Impeccable attention to detail
- High Initiative and Collaborative ability
- Can do attitude
- Technical skills, ability to read drawings and strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word or equivalent
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of Quality Tech(s) taking responsibility for development and mentorship
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Support and promote continuous improvement activities via Kaizen and (RIE) events
- SPC Knowledge
- Six Sigma
- Create product flow maps to analyze material movements through a process
- Create process flow maps to analyze work content of a process
- Create value stream maps to analyze interactions between information and product flow
- Create and implement 5S programs
- Create and implement pull systems
- Identify value added and non-value added activities
- Complete 5 why analysis
- Articulate Department vision via A3 reports
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
