Currently, we are searching for an Quality technician working hand-in-hand with our Regional and Global team, the ideal candidate can be based Albany, NY.
Main responsibilities
- Component inspections: Implement the Inspection points program, manage and
check the dimensional conditions of the civil, electrical, and mechanical
components, Quality test, palletizing conditions, external inspections, inspection at
the reception of the material on site.
- NCR: Identify the Nonconformities and register.
- Communication with the procurement process: Report the inconsistences detected on the raw material
- Calibration of the tools: Update the documents and certification of the measurement instruments.
- Manuals: Write quality procedures and test reports.
- Request documentation to the group related to quality issues. - Resolve the critical situations that may occurs in the normal course of work.
- Offer support to make other functions / projects in the area.
- Provide Inspection Points program (PPI), Technical specifications of supplies (ETS), work instructions to external inspectors.
- Perfom supplier supervision. - Supervise the suppliers job when the materials arrive to job site.
- Give support to client and suppliers inspectors for the standar (UL, CSA, SGS…..)
- Analyze the incoming NC and send it to the corresponding area for processing and to provide a solution.
- Control the Project inspections through the Tru-QC tool.
- Request to the procurement process the certificates with the 25 years material warranty.
- Adapt the reference documents to projects: QCP, FAT, SAT, PQP, ETS, PPI….
- These functions represent the globality of the position but are not exclusively limited to those.
Requirements
- 6 months or learning equivalence
- Electrician or mechanical technician / Similar Knowledge
- Taking Mesurements in mechanical, electrical, and civil construction
- Management and Knowledge of measuring instruments, Tape meter, caliper, wrench, Bubble level, read Installation drawings , torque wrench, lasser distance meter
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Standards and OSHA regulations
