Here’s the Gist:
Wolfspeed Materials R&D is looking for a CNC graphite machinist. This position will primarily be responsible for development and fabrication of SiC components. The goal being to support qualification of new processes to be introduced into production.
The Day-to-Day:
- Setup and run R&D lathe
- Track inventory of R&D machined parts
- Consult with R&D scientists on machining requirements and designs
- Work with CAD models and conversion to G-code
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Ability to operate both CNC and manual machines.
- Import CAD and edit tool paths as needed.
- Examine parts for accuracy and quality then adjustment as necessary for desired outcome.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Must stand ~60% of the time and be able to lift with two hands.
- This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
