Responsibilities

The Radiographer III, under the general supervision of the Technical Supervisor and under the direction of the Radiologist, performs those functions necessary to produce quality diagnostic images. Operates complex radiographic equipment, both mobile and stationary, in various patient care settings for purposes of obtaining standard diagnostic radiographs. Input and retrieve data from the Hospital and Radiology Medi-Tech System. Work various shifts within the department. Additionally, perform any and all job assignments that are requested to be completed in an accurate and timely manner. Demonstrates leadership skills with the ability to delegate and follow-through with decisions, including planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and improving services. Perform appropriate lead duties. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement, process, and activities.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital setting, performing a variety of general diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation is preferred. Experience with digital imaging systems, PACS, and basic health care informatics is desired.
  • Graduate from an accredited JRCERTMedical Radiography School and have passed the entry level radiography board examination from the ARRT.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (either state or national where appropriate) in two advanced imaging modalities. May include: Radiology and Fluoroscopy (ARRT and CRT) , Computed Tomography (CT- ARRT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR- ARRT), or Sonography (ARDMS). (i.e. Nuclear Medicine).
  • California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist Permit must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate required.
  • ACR recognized certifications from additional licensing authorities for Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging will be considered.

Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist:
are required to have documented competency in lieu of state or national licensure for a second modality. ARRT certification in Cardiovascular Imaging is preferred
