Work Schedule
The typical work week is Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm and rotating Sundays 12pm- 6pm may be required. You may be asked to work some evenings and weekends during peak periods of high patient volume or as needed at the direction of the Radiology Manager. This is a PRN position so days and hours will not be set.

Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
Student Health Services provides comprehensive medical and mental health care services for students and well-being services for faculty and staff right on our Columbia campus. Student Health Services is looking for a PRN Radiologic Technologist with daytime availability to join our Radiology staff.
Under limited supervision, the PRN Radiologic Technologist coordinates and performs a full range of x-rays and electrocardiograms as prescribed by healthcare providers. Ability to closely follow providers instruction and prepare images for PACS reading. Practice ALARA in positioning patients correctly in acquiring diagnostic images. Practice proper shielding of patients during radiographic procedures. Primary duties require exertion of up to 20 pounds of force. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving objects including the human body and mechanical apparatus is required. Frequent standing, kneeling, walking, twisting, and turning is required.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Currently possess and maintain a SCRQSA certification as a Limited Practice Radiographer – General or Radiographer. Willing to obtain and maintain BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Currently possess and maintain ARRT certification. Currently possess and maintain BLS certification. Two or more years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Prior experience performing electrocardiograms.
