YOUR ROLE IN OUR MISSION

The ROCK Community Center for Youth & Children (RCCYC) Receptionist will support the efforts of Eastern Star Church/JEWEL Human Services ROCK Community Center for Youth & Children (RCCYC) by being the professional and positive first point of contact for RCCYC and offering administrative and program support that will help to ensure efficient program operations and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

The RCCYC Program Support Receptionist will positively and professionally execute assigned administrative and program support tasks to the highest quality standards.

The essential key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Administrative

  • Cheerfully welcome and check-in/out all RCCYC guests who visit and issue guest badges.
  • Answer questions, give directions and efficiently manage center traffic to appropriate areas.
  • Manage and maintain a professional and presentable receptionist area with necessary supplies and materials.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls, messages, emails and correspondences in a timely manner.
  • Update calendar and scheduling.
  • Sign for incoming packages and distribute them to the appropriate individuals.
  • Order office supplies and other office needs.
  • May unlock/lock door at times set as directed by program.
  • Address technical challenges and emergencies in a timely manner.
  • May administer First Aid.
  • Key operator for office equipment; contact repair people when needed.
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned

Program Support

  • Assist in recruitment and training of volunteers and interns.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating and organizing the center’s meeting rooms & spaces.
  • Assist in maintaining participant and staff data in established systems.
  • Professional acumen with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks, maintain organization, handle confidential information, and be flexible in terms of scheduling.

Kitchen/Breakrooms

  • Maintain and distribute site cleaning schedule as required by RCCYC.
  • Ensure the kitchen/breakrooms are stocked with cleaning supplies and paper products.
  • May need to ensure sure coffee pots are turned off.
