Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Move material from storage racks to rollers or shake-out table with overhead (bridge) crane.

• Place different types of rebar, flat stock, angle, wire mesh, coil rod, and channel on rollers.

• Cut rebar to the prescribed lengths and/or punch holes in them as required.

• Hand feed material into iron worker.

• Set jig to required length.

• Shear and/or punch holes in flat stock, angle, wire mesh, coil rod, and rebar.

• Stack material on pallets or cart for different jobs.

• Use overhead crane, conveyors, punches, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, tape measure, etc. to perform tasks.

• All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment.

• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

• Education and/or Experience: Related experience and/or training
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ellenwood, GA 30294: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
