Administrative Partners of America (APA), an AmeriLife company, is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join customer care center operations. This individual will be part of the team that helps us succeed by making it easy to do business with APA through relentless exceptional service, process improvement and enabling our high-performance, employee-focused culture.
The purpose of the Switchboard Operator is to direct inbound calls to the appropriate department or extension, providing accurate information, and ask probing questions to get to the reason of the call. The individual must be organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced changing work environment

Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer and transfer phone calls in a polite and timely manner
• Direct inbound calls to appropriate department or extension
• Ask probing questions to obtain the reason for the call
• Provide accurate information to the caller
• Stay current with ever changing information
• Take detailed messages when the requested recipient is unavailable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Previous switchboard experience preferred
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
