Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 40 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center partners with Neighborhood Health Association to provide primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a Part-time Receptionist. This position is of general clerical nature involving reception, answering the telephone, computer knowledge including Microsoft office. This person must be adaptable in handling a variety of tasks including answering all incoming calls, receiving guests and visitors at the front desk, maintaining various logs and communicating with appropriate staff, etc. The candidate needs to be able to work under light supervision. Individual must maintain a professional approach to all functions and relationships with all levels of staff, clients, other agencies, and the public. Candidates must be able to effectively and compassionately communicate with patients who are severely and persistently mentally ill, or those who have issues with alcohol or chemical dependency. This work requires a high level of confidentiality in the handling and care of patient and agency information.

Job Duties Include but are not limited to:

  • Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain and update provider schedules.
  • Performs office copying/duplicating (light), inter sorting, and other office related duties.
  • Receives and distributes office mail, faxes and correspondence.
  • Makes appointment reminder calls to clients.
  • May organize correspondence and records to assist the records department.
  • Prepares special reports, checks against a variety of records in order to obtain complete and accurate information.
  • Will answer medical calls.
  • Acts as back up for the main switchboard operator.
  • Schedules meeting rooms.
  • Maintains appearance of the office and self in manner to enhance public relations and dignity of the agency
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma is required, however an Associate’s degree in a field related to administration is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to those that have experience in a receptionist role at a high-volume location.
  • Candidate must be organized, with good communication and computer skills.
