Our Medical Records Coordinator:
- Completes verification of benefits for all insurances (Med A and B and any other insurance providers).
- Completes the authorization of coverage prior to admission. Checking the common working file.
- Transcribes and transmits all physician orders using telephone, fax, mail, and forms, maintains records on computer, obtains signatures releases of information to appropriate areas.
- Maintains records as needed on all in house residents in accordance with the law and ensures proper storage and retention.
- Establishes and maintains medical record charts, files and billing systems in the current EMR system.
- Performs other duties as assigned:
What you need to succeed!
- High School Diploma or GED
- Specialized training in Health Services Management
- 2 or more years of experience in Medical Records administration or a related field.
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations related to medical records and billing, the scope of practice in the state of Washington.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
