The Holiday Inn Express Waikiki is located at the gateway of Waikiki in Honolulu. This 44-storey hotel with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Koolau mountains and Waikiki skyline is just 3 blocks from Waikiki beach and 4 blocks from the Hawaii Convention Center

Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain and check all guests at the pool.
- Maintain the function of the pool slide.
- Monitor the pool area and pool slide.
- Assist with any distress with any water activities.
- Straighten up pool area and making sure pool area is clean and tidy.
- Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Complete shift checklists and special projects as assigned.
- Be available to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Be completely familiar with hotel emergency procedures, and provide, calm, reassuring assistance to guests and fellow employees in the event of an emergency.
- To follow all company policies and procedures.
- To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
- Follow all company safety standards, including proper equipment handling to avoid injury to yourself and others.
- To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
- To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
Essential Experience/Aptitudes:
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
- Other Languages preferred
- A minimum one-year experience in a customer/guest service and/or public contact related job is desired.
- Must have High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, clients and employees.

- Possess a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
- Good team player.
- Willingness to go the extra mile.

- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Essential Physical Abilities:
- See, Speak, and Hearing/listening.
- Bending and Stretching.
- Lifting and carrying.
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
- Periodically required to work at a very fast pace, under pressure.
