Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Recruiter is to help our customer solve strategic staffing issues by developing the right talent pool and staffing placements for the customer. The Recruiter is expected to utilize and follow the company’s operational processes for screening, interviewing and hiring employees for employment placement.

Position Responsibilities

  • Accurately log and update talent, employee, and client data including skills, interview notes, personal traits, shift preference within operational software systems
  • Maintain client and talent/employee documents in operational system in accordance with company policies
  • Accurately document in real time client job order requests and keep updated within operational software systems
  • Maintain and update job descriptions for each client job order including risk assessment for workplace safety/talent work related injury risk
  • Understand and have ability to discuss with client bill-rates that are within cost factors and budget
  • Recruit qualified talent using all resources effectively including social media (managing job postings, updating as required)
  • Community involvement
  • Thoroughly screen each applicant through verifying references, conducting background check, and administering client and/or job related assessments or testing
  • Conduct company and client specific orientation to qualified talent
  • Qualified talent will have the required client defined skill set, background check drug screens, E-Verify, reference checks
  • Fill all open orders expeditiously (next day if possible) with qualified talent and with accurate first date reporting to work instructions
  • Document daily recruitment progress of interviews and recruiter sourcing efforts to achieve weekly goals
  • Monitor daily tracking of placements
  • Conduct “First Day” and “Weekly” checks with clients
  • Tour client facilities, visit active clients periodically and maintain ongoing engagement assessing open communication with clients to understand the business, other staffing opportunities
  • Maintain and process with proper paperwork all Worker’s Compensation Injury Reports, accident investigations at client site, including updates on follow up, drug testing results, etc.
  • Effectively manage employee relations related to proper counseling and coaching of employee issues
  • Maintain all proper documentation and information related to employee separations or disciplinary actions n operational software systems
  • Document assignments and terminations with appropriate notes in the operational system
  • Assist corporate with unemployment related claims and/or hearings
  • Assist with payroll functions including timecard collection and verification of time as assigned
  • Market qualified talent to existing clients and prospects daily
  • Follow up on all calls, emails, text messages expeditiously (next day at latest) and courteously
  • Assist Business Development Manager in obtaining new client leads and talent leads
  • Initiate on-going self improvement in relation to job development
  • Be capable of performing detail-oriented and repetitive work, have ability to multi-task
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Be capable of working with minimum supervision
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • All other duties as assigned

Essential Functions

  • Ability work overtime, weekends at peak times
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/projects
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Possess working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and ability to effectively build relationships with clients and candidates

Position Qualifications

  • At least one year of previous customer service experience or appropriate business experience
  • Above average communication skills to communicate with clients and talent in both written and oral forms
  • Strong affinity for business development, including service calls and marketing calls
  • A desire to increase business opportunities in your market by being actively involved in the community
  • Coaching skills to provide feedback and counsel to talent/employees to ensure quality performance and job satisfaction
  • Troubleshooting abilities to resolve problems or complaints of clients and employees
  • A cooperative, team-oriented demeanor, yet also able to work independently
  • Associate degree or High School diploma (or equivalent) with equivalent business experience is helpful
  • The ability to understand and apply basic math skills and financial concepts
  • Strong PC skills as these are critical to your success in this role

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
