Job description
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Administrative experience
- Knowledgeable in the policies and procedures of a university
- A bachelor's degree is required
- Military experience is preferred
- Experience with VA education benefits is preferred
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Knowledge of military education policy and procedure is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct information sessions for prospective military/veteran students.
- Assist in hosting prospective military/veteran students at the DBU main campus to aid in recruitment efforts.
- Work with Director of Military and Veteran Services to develop and coordinate military recruiting plan.
- Find and plan recruiting opportunities to help grow the veteran community on campus at DBU as well as the active military community online.
- Plan and execute recruiting and retention events for military/veteran students and prospects, including Military Appreciation Night, as well as other lunch events and speakers as needed. Assist Director of Military & Veteran Services in the planning and execution of Veterans Day Lunch.
- Attend/coordinate off campus military/veteran recruiting events.
- Find, build, and maintain relationships with veteran organizations in the community.
- Maintain tracking of events.
- Recruit all military/veteran inquiries, applicants, and accepted students.
- Meet with prospective students to provide academic guidance and encourage application for admission to DBU.
- Advise and enroll military/veteran students in their first semester at DBU.
- Maintain tracking of prospective students.
- Perform unofficial transcript evaluations and create unofficial degree plans for all new military/veteran students.
- Attend appropriate conferences, as assigned.
- Maintain database of contacts made during all recruiting efforts and programs.
- Assist the Director of Military & Veteran Services in developing a marketing strategy and programs to recruit adult undergraduate military/veteran students.
- Monitor competitive universities and adult military/veteran offerings.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain appropriate levels of recruitment materials.
