Optum Behavioral Health Solutions Care Delivery (OBHSCD) is a rapidly growing business within UnitedHealth Group. OBHSCD seeks to deliver high-value and efficient behavioral health systems that can be scaled nationally, and the company will continue to grow rapidly over the next 5 years. OBHSCD will build and scale the premier national behavioral health system for health systems, payers, state programs, and beyond.
OBHSCD is seeking candidates to serve as Regional Manager to create and refine Care Delivery operational infrastructure, and drive market-specific implementation projects within Optum Care Delivery Organizations. The Regional Manager role is critical to helping scope, plan and execute deliverables that enable projects to launch on time and on budget. The Regional Manager will work under the guidance of the Operations Vice President and the Care Delivery Leadership Team.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement and scale the OBHSCD high-value and efficient behavioral health system in multiple regional markets
- Define and scope market-specific implementation plans, leveraging broader OBHSCD strategy and playbooks to ensure alignment
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key client and partner stakeholders to ensure the timely and effective execution of market implementations
- Contribute to and/or lead operational infrastructure projects, which enables scalability and optimization of OBHSCD
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage risks associated with implementation and operations projects
- Identify and manage key learnings from implementations, work closely with OBHSCD Operations team to apply across other markets
- Own the storytelling and communication materials for market implementation and key operations projects. Regularly “tell the story” of your project progress and success via key messaging to critical stakeholder audiences
- In partnership with the OBHSCD Data, Analytics, and Reporting team, track overall project KPI’s and identify trends related to health care quality, cost, and other key clinical processes
- Lead collaboration with local OBHSCD Care Delivery resources to ensure smooth OBHSCD operations and maximize financial and operational performance according to OBHSCD key performance indicators
- Work effectively with other business and support units across United Health Group (UHG), because the work of OBHSCD must be deeply integrated with other businesses, initiatives, and resources across UHG
Successful candidates for the Regional Manager will play a lead role in stakeholder management, key messaging, and storytelling. The candidates also will have demonstrated experience managing all aspects of large and complex projects, with a proven track record of achieving results.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of relevant business experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
- 5+ years of experience leading complex projects of at least $500,000
- Project Management experience, with demonstrated success of using project management tools (ex. project plans, stakeholder plans)
- Experience accomplishing work through others and inspiring others through times of ambiguity
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Experience of leveraging data and insights to drive business outcomes, including identifying risks and mitigation tactics
- Experience communicating with and influencing the thinking of C-Suite executives
- Experience with cross-functional, system thinking leadership and execution of complex, organization-wide initiatives. Includes driving functional dependencies outside of immediate control to align to joint objectives
- Experience delivering results with large-scale, cross-functional teams in highly matrixed organizations
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects to ensure their quality and on-time delivery

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
